Ashley Starner was born in Lakeland, FL and moved to the St. Petersburg area when she was 5 years old. She graduated from Boca Ciega High School and went on to attend classes at USF and St. Petersburg College before transferring to the Florida Gulf Coast University, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in health sciences. She worked for over 10 years in pediatrics, first as a medical assistant and later as a clinical coordinator. After moving to the North Georgia area, Ashley went back to school and attained her associate’s degree in nursing from the University of North Georgia. She worked for her first two years as a Professional Registered Nurse in the labor and delivery unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. Ashley is currently working for Fastaff Travel Nursing as she travels the country with her husband Kevin, and their two boys Kaden and Quinn.

Kevin Starner was born in Portland, ME and moved to Florida when he was 6 years old. His family eventually found their way to the St. Petersburg area when he was 9. He graduated from Indian Rocks Christian School before enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserves. Kevin worked at a few different full-time jobs before moving to North Georgia and taking a job with Whole Foods Market. Kevin worked as a shipping selector and produce associate buyer before becoming a regional produce buyer. While working for Whole Foods, Kevin decided to return to school to get his degree. He finished two semesters with the University of North Georgia before leaving his job to focus on college full-time and home school his oldest son, Kaden. After another semester with UNG, Kevin transferred to Liberty University and is currently taking classes to attain his bachelor’s degree in history. His hope is to major in history and minor in biblical studies and become a middle school history or Bible teacher at a private Christian school.
Kevin & Ashley met at a college ministry at Kevin’s then home church, First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks. They met on Ashley’s first night attending a worship service at the church, and began dating a couple of months later. Roughly 18 months after meeting, they were married in December 2005. In May 2009, they welcomed their first son, Kaden into their family. Shortly after, Kevin lost his job and ended up staying home with Kaden for the first year of his life. Shortly after finding out they were getting ready to have their second child, Kevin and Ashley chose to move to the North Georgia area to be closer to Kevin’s family. Kevin began his career with Whole Foods Market, and in April 2011 Ashley gave birth to their second son, Quinn. Kevin and Ashley recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary and are blissfully, madly, enthusiastically and sickeningly in love!

Kaden Starner was born in St. Petersburg, FL. When he was a baby, he earned the nickname “Mr. Man” because his countenance just appeared as that of an older man. Since then, he has continued to prove those early impressions right. Kaden has an old soul. He is extremely pensive, and asks many deep questions about the world around him. He is extremely thoughtful and caring towards others and is very conscious of and sensitive to the emotions of those around him. He loves all bugs and calls himself the “bug saver” because when mommy or daddy want to kill a bug in the house, he gets a bag and saves it and releases it outside. He loves American Ninja Warrior and turns every playground he comes across into his own personal course. He is an active, healthy, smart, and thoughtful child – and Ashley and Kevin have no idea where all of that came from.

Quinn Starner was born in Gainesville, GA. From the very beginning, Kevin and Ashley could tell that he was going to be different from his older brother in many ways. While Kaden bears many, many traits from his mother in both appearance and personality, Quinn is a carbon copy of his father in many, many ways. From a very young age, they could see that Quinn was a very happy and fun-loving child who loved to laugh. He has maintained that same spirit all his life so far. Quinn is a bulldozer of a boy, as rough and tumble as they come. He is about the most outgoing child you will ever meet, and when he gets to a playground or another place where there are other kids, he immediately introduces himself without hesitation and wants to play. He has boundless energy and passion and has many characteristics of a natural leader.
